THE GIANTS ARE FALLING

“Big mountain, you are no problem. You will become flat ground in front of Zerubbabel. Then he will bring out the last and biggest stone of my house. The people will shout, ‘God bless it! God bless it!’ ” ’  ‘Zerubbabel has put down the first stone of my house. He will also finish it.’ Then you will know that the Lord  Almighty has sent me to you." - Zechariah 4:7, 9 (EASY)

In 1924, two climbers were part of an expedition that set out to conquer Mount Everest. As far as is known, they never reached the summit; and they never returned. Somewhere on that gigantic mountain they were overpowered by the elements and died. After the failure of the expedition, the rest of the party returned home. Addressing a meeting thereafter, one of those who returned described the ill-fated adventure. He then turned to a huge photograph of Mount Everest, mounted on the wall behind him. “Everest,” he cried, “we tried to conquer you once, but you overpowered us. We tried to conquer you a second time, but again you were too much for us. But, Everest, I want you to know that we are going to conquer you, for you can’t grow any bigger, and we can!” 

There are challenges that appears extremely overwhelming and insurmountable. These challenges can be described as "mountains" on the path of man. The Holy Spirit recorded many examples of such mountain-like issues in the Bible. For instance,  in 1 Samuel 17:1-51, everyone in Israel were intimidated, embarrassed and terrorised by an overwhelming mountain-like creature called Goliath for forty days. The elements of fear and intimidation oozing  out of that mountain succeeded in shutting down or paralysing the entire nation of Israel. Everyone was traumatised by the threat of a 9 feet, 9 inches Big Unfriendly Giant who has impressive track records of conquering whosoever dare to confront him. But one day, God raised a mountain climber and giant killer in David, the son of Jesse. Like the man in the above story, By the spirit of prophesy,  David addressed the intimidating mountain, deleted Goliath and terminated the long time harassment/embarrassment in the land of Israel (1 Samuel 17:46, 51). 

"Today the Lord will make me strong to win against you. I will hit you so that you fall to the ground. Then I will cut off your head. Today I will feed the birds and the wild animals with the dead bodies of the Philistine soldiers. Then everyone on the earth will know that there is a God who takes care of Israel. The Lord does not need swords or spears to save his people. Everyone here will soon know that! The Lord is the one who fights for us. He will make us strong to win against you.’  David then ran and stood beside Goliath. He took hold of Goliath's sword and he killed Goliath. Then he cut off his head with the sword . The Philistines saw that their best soldier was now dead. So they ran away".-1 Samuel 17:46-47, 51 (EASY)

Beloved, what is that Mount Everest or Goliath that is standing before you today? It doesn't matter how many people the mountain or giant has conquered, but as the Lord lives, you and your household will not be conquered in Jesus name. If you dare to make the Almighty God your strong tower, then what swallowed others will not swallow you. If you make the Omnipotent One your permanent ally,  you cannot be humiliated by Everest or Goliath. As the Lord lives, the Most High God will hide you in His "secret place" so that every evil giant or mountain ravaging the whole world will not come near your abode (Psalms 91). 

The lyrics of one song that describes how we can truly watch our Goliath falling and our mount Everest turning to plain is titled "Prophesy Your Promise" .

My prayer for you and my humble self is that, every spirit of Goliath seeking for opportunity to enslave us shall be exposed and disgraced in Jesus name. As the Lord lives, all giant problems or big enemies threatening your peace, harassing and intimidating you and your household shall perish like Goliath in Jesus name. Finally, by the spirit of prophesy, I pronounce instant judgment upon every council of giants  and mountain-like virus threatening the world and ravaging the nations this day in Jesus name. In the name that above every other names, the giants are falling and the mountains are crumbling now,  Amen

THE FATHER OF LIES AND HIS WEB OF DECEPTION

"Jesus said to them, “If God were really your Father, you would love me. I came from God, and now I am here. I did not come by my own authority. God sent me. You don’t understand the things I say, because you cannot accept my teaching. Your father is the devil. You belong to him. You want to do what he wants. He was a murderer from the beginning. He was always against the truth. There is no truth in him. He is like the lies he tells. Yes, the devil is a liar. He is the father of lies" - John 8:42-44 (ERV)

In 1939 just before the outbreak of World War II, Germany and Russia signed the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. This treaty promised that neither nation would attack the other, and it laid out a plan for how they would divide the nations of Eastern Europe between them. Yet in 1941, without warning or provocation, Adolf Hitler sent his tanks across the Russian border in a sneak attack. Hitler had no interest in keeping his word; the treaty was meant only as a temporary measure until he could do what he wanted. (Source: The Collapse of the Soviet Empire, George J. Neimanis) 

There is an African proverb that says "A chameleon can only change its colour but never change its skin". The devil may change his mode/method of operations from generation to generation but his true nature and identity will forever remain the same. In John 8:44, Jesus Christ described satan as "the father of lies". That is, the devil will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to do what he wants you to do. He is indeed a father of lies who breaks every promise that he makes like that highly dreaded Adolf Hitler of Germany. 

Therefore, if satan promises you riches, affluence and power, it will definitely be a temporary package with loads of sorrow and grief attached to it. (Proverbs  23:5, Proverbs 10:22). If he offers you a wife, then you have satan as your Father-in-law and you can imagine how miserable life will be thereafter. (Judges 16:1-5). If he promises you a child, no matter how much you lavish on him/her, the middle name of that child will be Fool, Pain and Sorrow (Proverbs 17:21). If satan 'arranges' a car for you, then you have only succeeded in collecting a mobile coffin/casket for your entire family. If satan gives you a house, then the description of your house will be "The Castle of Tragedy or Mansion of Sorrow" (Psalms  32:10). If satan promises you a job,  then you may have to spend every dime you earn to nurse his evil children like HIV AIDs, cancer, kidney failure, etc. 

Friend, satan is the father of lies and grandmaster of deception who lures his victims and murders them prematurely (Romans 6:23). And since chameleon can never change its skin, then, you will be a big fool if you believe the devil has something good in stock for you. Why do you want to enjoy the treaty of sin for a season when you can choose to embrace the truth for eternity (Hebrews 11:25). Therefore, I urge you to turn your back on the father of lies today, surrender your life genuinely to Jesus Christ and revoke every agreement you have entered into with the devil before it will be too late to do so. Also, please stop telling lies if you don't want to end up in the lake of fire with your father  - the devil (Revelation 21:8). 

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." - Revelation  21:8

The statements below summarises the nature and compensation plans of Satan recorded in John 8:44.

Satan promises the best, but pays with the worst;

He promises pleasure and pays with pain;
He promises profit and pays with loss;

My prayer for you and my humble self is that we will not become a victim of lies and deceptions that the devil is using to capture the souls of millions of people into dungeon of everlasting sorrow in Jesus name. As the Lord lives, we shall receive grace to walk out of the terrible web of deception that the father of lies (the devil) may deploy against our destiny and soul in Jesus name.

HURRAH! HURRAH! DADDY IS COMING SOON.

"And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;  Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh" . - Luke  21:7, 25-28

Many years ago there was a father who had to leave his home to go on a long journey. Just before he left, his little three-year old son asked him, `Daddy, when will you be coming back again?'. The father knew that he would not be back till the end of September. However, he realized that it was no use talking about dates and times and seasons to his boy, for he would not know the difference between them.  Then, the man said to his son, `when you see the leaves on the trees turning red and brown and beginning to fall to the ground, then you can be sure that Daddy is coming back very soon.' The next day the father left home and slowly the weeks went by until it came early September and then mid-September. Although the boy did not notice it, the leaves on the trees were changing colour. Then one night there was a big wind storm and millions of leaves came down, filling the sidewalks and the gutters. The next morning when the little fellow went out, he immediately saw them. Letting go his nurse's hand, he went amongst the leaves and began to kick them sky-high. Then he began to shout, 'Hurrah! Hurrah! Daddy's coming soon.'

As the second coming of Jesus Christ approaches, the Bible says there will be some strange happenings/events across the nations of the world. (Luke 21:7 & 25). Those strange events will send fear down the spine of everyone like a contagious epidemic making the hearts of many to fail. Strong destructive wind will blow across the world and many presumed strong economy or nations will experienced unprecedented shakings, distress, meltdown and eventually shutdown.

Beloved, events unfolding in the world today is attesting to the fulfilment of this prophesy. The world is presently witnessing strong epidemic wind of  strange virus that is pulling down precious souls into the grave all over the world. The strong wind is blowing across the nations and many leaves are fallen down. It is no longer a news that a strange destructive virus named Coronavirus is trending across the globe. This global crisis or epidemic is a sign that the second coming of Jesus Christ is closer than we thought. God's expectation for us at this crucial time is to be alert and prayerful so that we will not miss the rapture (Luke 21:34-36). Unfortunately,  many green and flourishing leaves (believers) are now turning brownish and reddish. Some have been detached from the vine already while others are at the verge of been plunged off. This is quite disheartening! 

“But be on your guard. Don’t let the sharp edge of your expectation get dulled by parties and drinking and shopping. Otherwise, that Day is going to take you by complete surprise, spring on you suddenly like a trap, for it’s going to come on everyone, everywhere, at once. So, whatever you do, don’t go to sleep at the switch. Pray constantly that you will have the strength and wits to make it through everything that’s coming and end up on your feet before the Son of Man.” - Luke 21:34-36 (MSG)

Friends, we are gradually approaching the last days here on earth. The seas, waters and land are in serious crisis. The trees are shaking and their leaves are turning brown and they are beginning to fall. It's obvious that the second coming of Jesus is imminent. But it is only those who are genuinely born again that can escape the dangers that is looming across the globe. Therefore,  we must never go a single day without doing what that three year old boy did in the above story. He let go of his nurse's hands, he went amongst the leaves and began to kick them sky-high. Then, he began to shout, 'Hurrah! Hurrah! Daddy's coming soon.'

One of my favourite poems that summarises the second coming of Jesus Christ is titled" The Coming of His Feet". May I urge you to prayerfully meditate on this powerful poem below and trust God to keep you standing to witness the second coming of the King of kings:

And the birds with gladness singing,
And the cloud-chased sunbeams touch me with a fervent glow and fleet,

`He is coming! He is coming!'
Air and earth and sea are humming;

Everlasting honours wearing,
Yet for me, as ever, caring at the coming of His feet.

My prayer for you and my humble self is that we shall truly let go of every worldly hands holding us back from kicking many fallen leaves back to the sky with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. And when Christ shall finally appear, we shall rise with Him and be honoured with the victor's crown (crown of righteousness) reserved for those who loves His appearing (2 Timothy 4:8).
