BANQUET OF GRATITUDE

"They must thank the Lord for his constant love, for the wonderful things he did for them" - Psalms 107:8 (GNT)

As we approach the end of year 2021, the lyrics of my favourite annual thanksgiving song "Eternal Father, Strong to Save" keeps flashing through my mind. This song usually brings back fond memories of God's faithfulness in the stormy sea of life. Like the psalmist, I have seen the wonder working fingers of God in action over and over again. I have seen the Almighty calming the restless wave and doing unimaginable things. Obviously, the ever presence help deserves a lavish banquet of gratitude from my household. This is my banquet of gratitude!

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it" - W.A.Ward

Friends, in less than 24hours from now, the ship of 2021 will finally reach the shore. On this voyage, many waters has passed under the brigde but by His grace you are still standing strong. God never allowed the stormy wind that had crushed many precious lives this year to wipe out your household. This is a clear evidence that the Eternal Father has been very good to you. From January till this moment, He never allowed your ship to capsize despite many visible and invisible hurdles on the way. He bound the restless waves from sweeping you and loved ones into the deep sea of endless pains and agony. Then, don't you think you need to set a delightful banquet of gratitude before your maker for His faithfulness in the voyage of 2021.  Where is your banquet of gratitude? It is time to express your gratitude to God and everyone He has used to support you in year 2021. Please don't be an ingrate!

ETERNAL FATHER, STRONG TO SAVE by William Whiting, 1860

Eternal Father, strong to save,

Whose arm does bind the restless wave,

Who bids the mighty ocean deep

Its own appointed limits keep;

O hear us when we cry to Thee

For those in peril on the sea.

O Savior, whose almighty word

The winds and waves submissive heard,

Who walked upon the foaming deep,

And calm amid the rage did sleep;

O hear us when we cry to Thee

For those in peril on the sea.

O Holy Spirit, who did brood

Upon the waters dark and rude,

And bid their angry tumult cease,

And give for wild confusion peace;

O hear us when we cry to Thee

For those in peril on the sea.

O Trinity of love and pow'r,

Your children shield in danger's hour;

From rock and tempest, fire, and foe,

Protect them where-so-e'er they go;

Thus, evermore shall rise to Thee

Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.

As you joyfully offer your banquet of gratitude to God for the voyage of 2021, the Eternal father will remain your anchor in the new year and beyond. As the Lord lives, your ship will not capsize on the sea of life in the new year. You will finished the journey of 2022 healthier, wiser, anointed, gifted, fruitful and prosperous on everyside in Jesus name, Amen.

On behalf of my Gorgeous Super Model and Queen, I unwrap our gift of gratitude to God and all destiny helpers in 2021. Wishing you an exceedingly fruitful and glorious year 2022.

Maranatha!

CHRISTMAS IS NOT A JAMBOREE

 "As the angel choir withdrew into heaven, the shepherds talked it over. “Let’s get over to Bethlehem as fast as we can and see for ourselves what God has revealed to us.” They left, running, and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger". Luke 2:15‭-‬16 (MSG)

On the list of top twenty most widely celebrated holidays in the world, Christmas holiday rank second after New Year holiday (Knowinsiders). However, despite Christmas being the second biggest holiday in the whole world, only 31.2% of the entire world population are Christians (Wikipedia 2021). This imply that 68.8% of the world population celebrates Christmas every year without knowing the saving grace of Christmas. They celebrate Christmas with Christ in absentia in the centre of their hearts. However, such Christmas celebrations are mere jamboree as far as God is concerned.

As the world attempts to turn Christmas into jamboree, most of the things people cherish during the holiday are of no significance in the light of eternity. For example, Christmas is not about the size of our chickens, our gorgeous dresses and shoes, or array of colourful decorations and lightings around us. Rather, it is a sacred holiday that introduces the Saviour to a dying world. Unfortunately, billions of people all over the world are celebrating Christmas every year without having personal encounter with Christ the Saviour. This does not sound good at all!

The Shepherds understood that Christmas without Christ is an empty jamboree (Luke 2:15-20). These men hurriedly left everything they had behind in search for Christ who is the real reason for the season. They refused to celebrate Christmas until they had met the Saviour. That is wisdom in action! No wonder God called those Shepherds "wise men" in Matthew 2:1-2.

Beloved, have you being celebrating Christmas with Christ in absentia in your heart? Please note that is not wise. You cannot barb or weave someone's hair in his or her absence. It does not make sense! But, if you dare to seek and embrace the Saviour like those wise men, this year's Christmas will mark a new beginning of true greatness and colourful destiny for you. Therefore, I urge you to please join the wise men and women who are celebrating Christmas with Christ in their hearts today.

As we joyfully approach the Christmas holiday this year, let us sing the First Noel and trust God that the sacred joy and victory of the season will envelope us completely till Christ returns to take us to our mansion above in Jesus name, Amen.

THE FIRST NOEL by Davies Gilbert, 1823

The First Noel, the Angels did say

Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay

In fields where they lay keeping their sheep

On a cold winter's night that was so deep.

Refrain:

            Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel

            Born is the King of Israel!

They looked up and saw a star

Shining in the East beyond them far

And to the earth it gave great light

And so it continued both day and night.

And by the light of that same star

Three Wise men came from country far

To seek for a King was their intent

And to follow the star wherever it went.

This star drew nigh to the northwest

O'er Bethlehem it took its rest

And there it did both Pause and stay

Right o'er the place where Jesus lay.

Then entered in those Wise men three

Full reverently upon their knee

And offered there in His presence

Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.

Then let us all with one accord

Sing praises to our heavenly Lord

That hath made Heaven and earth of nought

And with his blood mankind has bought.

THIS IS THE TIME TO GIVE (THE LAFAYETTE'S STORY)

 "Give freely and spontaneously. Don’t have a stingy heart..... There are always going to be poor and needy people among you. So I command you: Always be generous, open purse and hands, give to your neighbors in trouble, your poor and hurting neighbors" - Deuteronomy 15:10‭-‬11 (MSG)

In 1783, the harvest in France was a terrible one, and there were many who suffered as a result. However, Lafayette’s farms were unaffected by the devastating crop failures. One of his workers then offered what seemed to be good advice to Lafayette, “The bad harvest has raised the price of wheat. This is the time to sell.” After thinking about the hungry peasants in the surrounding villages, Lafayette disagreed and said, “No, this is the time to give.” (Lesson Commentary, August 2009, Daniel Lioy)

As at September 2021, Nigeria was among the countries with the highest inflation rate in the world. The price of beans grew by 60% compared to the previous year, while price of palm oil increased by 40% (statista.com). It is obvious that year 2021 has been a very challenging year for most families; they groan endlessly as prices of food stuff and other essential commodities keep on increasing astronomically on daily basis. However, in the midst of this harsh economic condition, there are some people whose pot of oil has never run dry. They have been living in Goshen with their harvest preserved and sustained. These people are "the Lafayette" of our time.

Friends, are you one of "The Lafayette" of our time? Congratulations! I celebrate you and pray that God will keep you in Goshen till Christ returns. However, as you enjoy your harvest this Christmas season with your loved ones, please remember the hungry peasants around you. In such a time like this, please don't sell your wheat to less privileged friends, class mates, colleagues and neighbours. God never blesses you for your own benefit only, but that you can be a blessing to others in need. So, don't be tempted to hoard your wheat but rather open your hands wide to the needy at all times (Deut 15:7-11). Every act of kindness to the needy is a loan to God and would be repaid in due time (Proverbs 19:17). However, the rewards for withholding help from the needy are heavy rain of curses and impoverishment from God (Proverbs 28:27, 11:24-25).

"If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord, and He will repay you!" Proverbs 19:17 (NLT).

One special poem that summarises God's expectation from every Lafayette of our time is titled "Ten Things God Won’t Ask On That Day". Please prayerfully meditate on this poem and trust God to help you become a true Lafayette of our time.

TEN THINGS GOD WON'T ASK ON THAT DAY

God won’t ask what kind of car you drove,

He’ll ask how many people you gave a lift to who didn’t have any transportation.

God won’t ask the square footage of your house,

He’ll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

God won’t ask about the clothes you had in your wardrobe,

but He’ll ask how many you helped to clothe.

God won’t ask what your highest salary was,

but He’ll ask if you compromised your testimony to obtain it.

God won’t ask what your job title was,

but He’ll ask whether you performed your job to the best of your ability.

God won’t ask how many friends you had,

He’ll ask how many people to whom you made sure you were a friend.

God won’t ask in what neighbourhood you lived,

He’ll ask how you treated and behaved with your neighbours.

God won’t ask about the colour of your skin,

He’ll ask about the quality and growth of your character.

God wont ask you how much of your time you used watching television,

but He will ask how much you used caring for others?

God won’t ask why it took you so long to seek salvation;

He’ll just demonstrate how pleased He is to have you and take you to your mansion in heaven.

May God destroy every spirit of greed and selfishness that can make us hoard/sell our wheat to less privileged ones around us. As we open our hands wide this season, may God honour His word and bless us abundantly in Jesus name, Amen.

In the spirit of the season, you are cordially invited to Jesus Supermarket 3.0 at RCCG Kingdom Life Parish, 109, Shasha Road, Egbeda, Lagos on the 19th of December, 2021. Please come and shop for Christmas with only N50 per item.

Good day, Merry Christmas and a prosperious new year in advance.

THE SIEGE IS OVER, BATTLE IS WON

"A woman who had suffered a condition of hemorrhaging for twelve years - a long succession of physicians had treated her, and treated her badly, taking all her money and leaving her worse off than before—had heard about Jesus. She slipped in from behind and touched his robe. She was thinking to herself, “If I can put a finger on his robe, I can get well.” The moment she did it, the flow of blood dried up. She could feel the change and knew her plague was over and done with." Mark 5:25-29 (MSG)

In Mark 5:25-29, a certain woman was under a strange siege for over a decade. She had fought several battles in life and lost all in quick succession. It was a terrible siege with no hope of survival in sight. The siege moved from physical to financial, then to emotional. The siege drained her resources and drove people away from her. She become a shadow of herself until one day when she heard that the Ultimate Siege Destroyer was in town. She decided to push her way through the crowd to get close to Jesus. Then, with great expectation, she stretched her hands towards him, felt the knots of his garment and the siege destroying virtue flowed seamlessly into her. Instantly, her hemorrhage condition was cured and the demons beating the drum of calamity in her body were rounded up and slaughtered like rams. The siege was over and the strange fire burning secretly in her life was quenched. She went home that same day singing, shouting, jumping and dancing to the glory of God. What a testimony!

Beloved, I am so excited to announce to you that the Ultimate Siege Destroyer is on duty call at the Redemption camp this week. It doesn't matter what experts have said about those terrible siege in your Samaria, as the Lord lives, a major tide-turning event is about to happen. Please don't miss this great opportunity. THE SIEGE IS OVER; THE PROPHETIC IEDs

"When you speak healing words, you offer others fruit from the tree of life. But unhealthy, negative words do nothing but crush their hopes" - Proverbs 15:4 (TPT)

Early this week, I saw the video of 15 uncompleted high-rise buildings in China being demolished. It was the kind of demolition where a team of experts strategically place explosives and set them off in a quick series of explosions. The whole buildings collapses on itself within 45 seconds. What I find most amazing is that these buildings take months or even years to plan and build, yet it takes only a moment to destroy them.

Words are the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) used in the demolition and constructive operations on earth (Proverbs 18:21). These IEDs can express or depress; offend or befriend; affirm or alienate; comfort or criticize; delight or destroy. The wisest man that ever lived says if these IEDs denotate, it can crush the entire structure of man's spirit and soul within a second (Proverbs 15:4). This device pierce like a sharp sword (Proverbs 12:17-18), releasing venom into it victim that can kill easily.

In Job 19:1-2, Job discovered that his three friends actually came to plant strange IEDs into his soul. Their secret agenda was to demolish Job's remaining edifice with their repeated blasts of venom. For seven days, they persistently stabbed him with sharp daggers to slice him into pieces. Those gentlemen were simply on demolition assignment but they did not succeed.

Friends, please beware that there are still many friends of Job around us today; husbands stabbing their wives and children with daggers; wives slicing and dicing their husbands, children and in-law into pieces with tongues; employers detonating the moral of employees with negative words. It is quite applauding!

"Elisha said, 'listen to the word of the Lord. This is what the Lord is saying. "About this time tomorrow, 7 litres of flour will cost a shekel of silver. 15 litres of barley will cost a shekel at the gate of Samaria" 2 Kings 7:1 (EASY)

It is good to know that these IEDs can also be tamed and deployed for breathtaking constructive projects. For example, in 2 Kings 7:1 when Elisha buried an IED in Samaria, the terrible siege of famine in the land disappeared completely within 24 hours. I strongly perceive God is sending some IEDs into your destiny this season. I have no doubt that every siege over you, your nation, business and family is about to be over. By this prophetic IED; the  word of the Lord, I declare a sudden end to the siege in your Samaria in Jesus name. In anticipation of the explosion move of God in your life, please prayerfully meditating on the wordings of this year's Holy Ghost Congress hymn below titled "The Siege Is Over":

7. I cannot faint

Jesus my Helper My strength supplier

Deep within I cannot fail

Jesus Never fails Success mine forever

Halleluyah

8. I live to reign

Halleluyah

As the Lord lives, every friends of Job around you shall be exposed and disgraced this season. And their evil IEDs shall detonate upon them. Before this year is over, every siege in your life shall be over permanently in Jesus name.

STUBBORNNESS IS A CAPITAL OFFENCE

"If you get more stubborn every time you are corrected, one day you will be crushed and never recover" Proverbs 29:1 (GNT)

On March 13th, 1986, two ships collided in the Black Sea off the coast of Russia and hundreds of passengers died on that fateful day. Investigation later revealed that the accident was not caused by technical fault or bad weather. Several people perished simply because the two captains were too stubborn to change direction. They both knew that their ships were heading towards each other and may soon collide. A little change of direction by either of them would have averted the tragedy. However, neither of them was willing to change course and give way to the other. They were too stubborn to yield and by the time they came to their senses, it was too late.

A German proverb describes stubbornness as the energy of fools but God describes it as a capital offence that attracts instant destruction. The story of Saul, the first king of Israel clearly affirms this truth. King Saul's obstinacy to God's instructions triggered his dethronement as king in Israel (1 Sam 15: 23). The glorious ship of his destiny sank into the ocean of stubbornness like stone and there was nothing anyone could do to remedy the situation. His stubbornness made God to use His divine bit and bridle on him. King Saul died on mount Gilboa together with his three sons, personal assistant, chief of staff, bodyguards and others in one day. Then, his body was taken away, dismembered and hanged on the wall of Beth Shan (1 Sam 31:1-13). Hummmm! What a terrible ending!

"Refusing to obey is as bad as the sin of sorcery. Being stubborn and doing what you want is like the sin of worshiping idols. You refused to obey the Lord’s command, so he now refuses to accept you as king.” 1 Sam 15:23 (ERV)

Unfortunately, many people in this generation have not learned from that terrible mistake of king Saul. Rather, they have decided to make king Saul their mentor. They are stubborn to wise and godly counsel despite repeated warnings. They do not seem to understand that every act of man's stubbornness adds fuel to the fire of God's wrath and judgement (Romans. 2:5).

"You’re not getting by with anything. Every refusal and avoidance of God adds fuel to the fire....Make no mistake: In the end you get what’s coming to you— Real Life for those who work on God’s side, but to those who insist on getting their own way and take the path of least resistance, Fire! "- Romans. 2:5-8 (MSG)

Beloved, I hope king Saul is not your mentor. Hope you have not turned your back on God like those stubborn Israelites (Deut 9:6-8). Hope you are not like those stiff-necked Jews in Corinth who rejected Christ and even went ahead to maligned the Way (Acts 19:9). Please do not forget that everyone who stubbornly rejects God's Sweet Will on earth will be doomed for the rest of eternity. This article may be the last warning God is sending to you before He will eventually turn you over to the hardness of your heart. Friends, time is running out. Please repent today and yield totally to His Sweet Will before it will be too late.

"Stubbornness and stupidly are twins" - Sophocles

One wonderful hymn that re-emphases the need to desist from every act of stubbornness is titled "Sweet Will of God".

SWEET WILL OF GOD By C. H. Morris, 1900.

My stubborn will at last hath yielded;

I would be Thine, and Thine alone,

And this the prayer my lips are bringing,

"Lord, let in me Thy will be done".

Refrain:

      Sweet will of God, still fold me closer,

      Till I am wholly lost in Thee;

      Sweet will of God, still fold me closer,

      Till I am wholly lost in Thee.

I’m tired of sin, footsore and weary,

The darksome path hath dreary grown,

But now a light has ris’n to cheer me;

I find in Thee my Star, my Sun.

Thy precious will, O conqu’ring Savior,

Doth now embrace and compass me;

All discords hushed, my peace a river,

My soul a prisoned bird set free.

Shut in with Thee, O Lord, forever,

My wayward feet no more to roam;

What pow’r from Thee my soul can sever?

The center of God’s will my home.

I pray that everyone drowning in the ocean of stubbornness and stupidity today shall be rescued before it will be too late.

Good day and God bless you.

Maranatha!

TAKE MY HAND, PRECIOUS LORD

 "Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence"- 1 Corinthians 10:11‭-‬12 (MSG)

One day, a little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was so scared that he told his little daughter, ‘Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don’t fall into the river.’ The little girl said, ‘No, Dad. You hold my hand.’  ‘What’s the difference?’ Asked the puzzled father. The little girl replied ‘There’s a big difference, If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go.’

The story above reaffirms one of the lessons that the Holy Spirit taught us in Mark 14:29-72. As the time for Christ arrest and crucifixion drew near, Apostle Peter began to tell everyone that he has what it takes to hold on firmly to Jesus Christ. He boasted that he can never deny Christ or backslide no matter what happens. He was practically flaunting his ministerial resume instead of asking for grace to be engraved permanently in the hollow of the everlasting hand of God. Then, few minutes later, a maid confronted the same over confident Apostle Peter and he denied Jesus blatantly. The tyres of Apostle Peter's ego and self confidence was completely deflated and he began to weep profusely.

Beloved, Christian life is full of many bridges and rivers. And in the heat of the moment, there is tendency that many believers will turn their back on the Saviour sheepishly like Apostle Peter. They will deny Christ openly and secretly without any remorse. As we approach the end of age, many professing Christians are already falling away from faith into the river of error and hypocrisy like Judas Iscariot (1 Timothy 4:1-2)

"Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead"-1 Timothy 4:1‭-‬2 (NLT)

Therefore, it is obvious that the admonition of Apostle Paul to the church in Corinth (1 Corinthians 10:11-12) is still very relevant in this generation. We must never forget that the best of man can fall and fail woefully without the help of the Almighty God. Our human charisma, wisdom or expertise are not God's prerequisite for navigating the Christian journey. The only sure means to remain in faith is to ensure that the everlasting arms of God is underneath you at all times. Jesus Christ gave us the assurance that nothing can make us fall by the road side or be snatched away from Him (John 10:28-29). What a great assurance!

"I give them eternal life; they shall never be lost, and no one can snatch them from me. My Father who gave them to me is greater than anyone else; no one can snatch them from him" - John 10:28‭-‬29 (FBV)

One powerful hymn that describes the prayer that every believer must pray daily till they reach the golden shore is titled "Take My hand, Precious Lord". If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, please make that decision now. If you do, the saviour will take those feeble hands of yours and guide you till you reach your mansion above.

TAKE MY HAND, PRECIOUS LORD By Thomas A. Dorsey, 1932.

Precious Lord, take my hand,

Lead me on, let me stand,

I am tired, I am weak, I am worn;

Through the storm, through the night,

Lead me on to the light:

Refrain

          Take my hand, precious Lord,

          Lead me home.

When my way grows drear,

Precious Lord, linger near,

When my life is almost gone,

Hear my cry, hear my call,

Hold my hand lest I fall:

When the darkness appears

And the night draws near,

And the day is past and gone,

At the river I stand,

Guide my feet, hold my hand:

It's my prayer that the precious Lord will take the hands of all backsliders/hypocrites and restore them today. As the Lord lives, none of us shall be snatched away from the hands of eternal father in Jesus name, Amen.

Good day and God bless you.

Maranatha!

THE PICCOLO MENTALITY

"In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary"- 1 Corinthians 12:22 NLT

Several years ago, a famous 19th century conductor, Sir Michael Costa was conducting a rehearsal in which the orchestra was joined by a great choir. About halfway through the session, with trumpets blaring, drums rolling, and violins singing their rich melody, the piccolo player muttered to himself, "What good am I doing? I might just as well not be playing. Nobody can hear me anyway." So he kept the instrument to his mouth, but he made no sound. Within moments, the conductor cried, "Stop! Stop! Where’s the piccolo?" It was missed by the ear of the most important person of all. (Daily Bread, November 17, 2003, Richard W. De Haan)

In 1 Corinthians 12:12-22, God clearly warns believers against the danger of developing the piccolo mentality. This terrible mentality makes someone seat on the fence while others are working or serving. Anyone with this docile mentality believes he/she is disadvantaged, insignificant and useless. Such person does not understand the fact that everyone created by God is unique and has a definite role to play in God's orchestra (Romans 12:4).

"We have many parts in the one body, and all these parts have different functions"- Romans 12:4 (GNT)

There are many piccolo players everywhere in this generation. People who have succeeded in deceiving everyone that they are playing their part but they are not. Everyone recognizes and celebrates them as a piccolo player yet Heaven has not heard a sound from their corner for a very long time. These people's names are on members, workers, ministers, teachers, evangelists, pastors register in their various churches yet God is still saying "Where is the Piccolo?" They are obviously missing in action. Heaven has not felt their impact for a long time. This is quite unfortunate!

Friends, are you a piccolo player in your church/office/ organisation. Does the task assigned to you look insignificant? Have you been faithful in your calling and duty post? Please be sincere with yourself! I hope you have not actually stopped playing your piccolo? Your team leader, HOD, Pastor, General Overseers,  MD/CEO, Chairman may not notice that you are now very passive or docile but God knows. Yes, the Great Conductor (God) is really concerned that you are no longer playing your part in His orchestra.

This powerful poem below clearly re-echoes the subject matter. Kindly meditate on it and trust God to revive everyone having the piccolo mentality and keep them burning till Christ returns.

YOU HAVE A PART TO PLAY  By M.S.Lowndes

Each one of God's children

Has a special part to play,

Whether it be great or small,

We are needed every day

If your part seems very small,

Don't feel you're insignificant

Don't feel that you can't offer much

And you wouldn't make a difference

Though you're tempted to give up

And let another take your place,

Remember, God gave you your gifts

And you cannot be replaced

And these gifts that God has given,

He longs for you to share

You're just as important as anyone,

So don't be in despair

The only one who matters most

Is watching for your part,

With much anticipation

And excitement in His heart

So do not disappoint Him

By not taking your cue,

Though you think it unimportant,

This part is made for you

Don't let God walk away

With a disappointed heart

Because you felt so unworthy

Of your very special part

The parts that we've been given

Isn't based on size at all,

But rather on the abilities

And the gifting of the Lord

For each part is important

To make the whole thing work,

So do your part with enthusiasm

And know that you have worth.

My prayer is that you and I will receive grace to continue to play our part with enthusiasm in God's orchestra. And when our days on earth are finally over, we shall receive bountiful reward for our labour on the Golden Shore.

Good day and God bless you.

Maranatha!

COMPASSION; THE GASOLINE FOR EXPLOITS

"But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd"- Matthew  9:36

During one of D.L. Moody's evangelical tours, some ministers visited him to enquire about the secret of his exploit. Moody took the men to the window of his hotel room and asked them what they saw. One by one, the men described the people in the park below. Then, as Moody looked out through the window, tears began to roll down his cheeks controllably. "What do you see, Mr. Moody?" asked one of the men. "I see countless thousands of souls that will one day spend eternity in hell if they do not find the Savior." (Culled from Today in the Word, February 1, 1997)

The difference between those who weep and those who laugh at the pitiable condition of sinners is compassion. Dictionary defines compassion as the humane quality of understanding the suffering of others and wanting to do something about it. Compassion is the approved gasoline for powering the engine of a believer for profitable Christians service. This gasoline drove the engine of Jesus Christ from His highly exalted position in Heaven to the humble manger in Bethlehem. He accomplished the reconciliation agenda and executed many mighty works for God on earth. It was practically impossible to achieve such great feat with the gasoline of worldly gains.

Beloved, what is driving or powering your engine? Is it personal gains or compassion? It is obvious that the engines of many believers are powered by worldly gains. The pulpit and pew of many churches are filled with many worned out or knocked engines powered by gasoline of greed and personal gains. The lackadastical attitudes of believers to soul winning clearly attest to this fact. We are only interested in serving God if something will come out of it. Affluence, power and position are now the motivating factors for kingdom service. There is no more gasoline of compassion in the engine of many christians. We lack empathy for sinners and backsliders. This is very sad!

Friends, the Great Shepherd is looking through the window today. If you are not yet saved, please surrender to Jesus Christ to escape from hell. If your engine is among those knocked or grounded ones in the kingdom today. Please cry to God for mercy before it is too late. Then, please join me to meditate on the lyrics of this wonderful hymn below.

COMPASSION HYMN By Keith & Kristyn Getty

There is an everlasting kindness

You lavished on us

when the Radiance of heaven

came to rescue the lost;

You called the sheep without a shepherd

to leave their distress

for Your streams of forgiveness

and the shade of Your rest.

Chorus:

        What boundless love, what fathomless grace

        You have shown us, O God of compassion!

        Each day we live, an off'ring of praise

        as we show to the world Your compassion!

And with compassion for the hurting,

You reached out your hand

as the lame ran to meet You

and the dead breathed again;

You saw behind the eyes of sorrow

and shared in our tears,

heard the sigh of the weary,

let the children draw near.

We stood beneath the cross of Calv'ry

and gazed on Your face,

at the thorns of oppression

and the wounds of disgrace;

for surely You have borne our suff'ring

and carried our grief

as You pardoned the scoffer

and showed grace to the thief.

How beautiful the feet that carry

this gospel of peace

to the fields of injustice

and the valleys of need

To be a voice of hope and healing,

to answer the cries

of the hungry and helpless

with the mercy of Christ.

It is my prayer that the God of compassion will grant us grace to weep for lost souls like D.L Moody. Every sinners or backsliders that crosses our path shall be rescued by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, Amen

Good day and God bless you.

YOUR CHARACTER IS YOUR GREATEST SERMON

 "Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit; not chiseled into stone, but carved into human lives and we publish it." - 2 Corinthians 3:2‭-‬3 (MSG)

St. Francis of Assisi once invited a young man to join him on a trip to town to preach. Honored to be given the invitation, the man readily accepted. All day long he and Francis walked through the streets, byways, and alleys, and even into the suburbs. They rubbed shoulders with hundreds of people. At the end of the day, the two headed back home. Not even once had Francis addressed a crowd, nor had he talked to anyone about the gospel. Greatly disappointed, his young companion said, "I thought we were going into town to preach." Francis responded, "My son, we have preached. We were preaching while we were walking. We were seen by many and our behavior was closely watched. It is of no use to walk anywhere to preach unless we preach everywhere as we walk!" (Our Daily Bread, December 15, 1991)

The above story re-emphasizes a salient truth that the Holy Ghost taught the church at Corinth about Lifestyle Evangelism. A preacher's greatest sermon is not written in his sermon note but on the pages of his daily walk with men. Our Christ-like nature should be the greatest selling point in the harvest field for souls. Many people don't really need to listen to our elongated and cleverly-fabricated words before they decide for Christ. Talk is truly cheap but the walk of a genuine believer can unveil the gospel and its simplicity to sinners seamlessly.

Unfortunately, there are many companions of St. Francis in the church today. These people do not understand that the walk (character) is much more important than the talk (sermon). Despite their big titles and positions in the kingdom, they have many terrible character flaws capable of chasing unbelievers away from the narrow path. They display some negative anointing like pride, anger, unforgiveness, arrogance, hatred while carrying the Bible to go and preach to their unbelieving neighbours and friends. The resultant outcome of those preaching engagements may be quite easy to predict! Unbelievers will make mockery of those hypocritical preachers and their sermons.

"We are the Bibles the world is reading;

We are the Creeds the world is needing;

We are the Sermons the world is heeding" - Evangelist Billy Graham

Beloved, what gospel is your life preaching to everyone around you? Is your life preaching /publishing the gospel of anger, pride, greed, unforgiveness, arrogance, deceit, lies etc ? Or you are a living epistle of Christ's love, mercy and compassion to the dying world? Are you walking the talk or  are you an hypocrite? Can unbelievers read the gospel of Christ in your life? I urge you to prayerfully meditate on this powerful poem below and trust God to make you a living epistle of Christ till He returns.

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO YOU By Arthur McPhee

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John

Are read by more than a few,

But the one that is most read and commented on

Is the gospel according to you.

You are writing a gospel, a chapter each day

By the things that you do and the words that you say,

Men read what you write, whether faithless or true,

Say, what is the gospel according to you'

Do men read His truth and His love in your life,

Or has yours been too full of malice and strife'

Does your life speak of evil, or does it ring true'

Say, what is the gospel according to you'

It is my prayer that every companion of St. Francis of Assisi in the church today will realise that their lifestyle, actions, characters may send many unbelievers to Hell. May God have mercy on His church and restore all backsliders and hypocrites in the kingdom. May all believers become true beacons of light with their Christ-like characters to the dying souls around them in Jesus name,  Amen.

Good day and God bless you.

THE BELIEVER'S PATERNITY TEST

 "whoever says he lives in Christ [that is, whoever says he has accepted Him as God and Savior] ought [as a moral obligation] to walk and conduct himself just as He walked and conducted Himself."-1 John 2:6 (AMP)

A father and his son arrived in a small town looking for an uncle whom they had never seen. Suddenly, the father, pointing across the square to a man who was walking away from them, exclaimed, “There goes my uncle!” His son asked, “How do you know when you have not seen him before?” “Son, I know him because he walks exactly like my father.” (The Gold Mine, Lee Roberson)

A paternity test is the scientific means of establishing whether a biological relationship exist between a father and a child. The test compares the DNA profiles of a father and his alleged child to determine the validity of their claim. There is an urgent need for heaven to conduct paternity test on many professing believers in our generation. The result of this paternity test must be published before the trumpet sounds. The test will help to unravel all the vagabonds who have been parading themselves as children of God, Choristers, Pastors, Deacons, Apostles, General Overseers etc in the kingdom.

In 1 John 2:6, Holy Spirit states the procedures for conducting paternity test for any one who claims to be a believer. The fellow must have a striking resemblance with the saviour in mannerism and conduct. The believer's paternity test cannot be compromised or manipulated since God already knows those who are his (2 Timothy 2:19). And on the day of reckoning, when the ultimate paternity test result shall be announced, there will be many surprises. According to Luke 13:26-28, some highly respected believers will be tagged as "vagabond" and ushered into the lake of fire.

"Then you will begin to say, "But Master, we had meals with you. You taught us in the streets of our villages". But He will tell you, "No! I really do not know you. I do not know where you come from. You have done very bad things, so go away from me, all of you!" - Luke 13:26-27 (EASY)

Friends, are you sure you can pass the believers paternity test? If your DNA sample is collected and compared with that of Christ, what will be the result? Do you have any striking resemblance with our father in heaven? Are you a spiritual vagabond? Can others see the image of Christ in you? Is your life a contradiction to God? Please be sincere with yourself, repent and make your ways right with God before the trumpet sounds.

One powerful hymn that re-echoes the desires of any believer who wants to pass the paternity test is titled "Walking With Jesus". Please prayerfully meditate on the lyrics of this hymn and trust God for grace to pass the believer's paternity test.

WALKING WITH JESUS By Samuel L. Speck, (1897)

My days are swiftly passing by,

My time ere long will close,

But I’ve a home beyond the sky

Where I shall soon repose.

Refrain:

           Yes, passing gently, gently on

           To realms of holy rest,

           My soul is filled with rapt’rous song,

           I’ll sing among the blest.

Then help me, Lord, to ever be

A faithful child of Thine,

Washed in Thy blood that flowed so free,

And filled with love divine.

I press my hand, dear Lord, in Thine,

And walk by faith with Thee;

Oh, let Thy glory in me shine,

That men Thy life may see.

I walk and talk with Jesus now,

And lean upon His arm,

And to His scepter meekly bow;

He keeps me from all harm.

It is prayer that all backsliders shall be restored before their paternity result is announced. And all genuine believers shall remain on the narrow path till Christ returns to take them home.

Good day and God bless you.

Maranatha!

IS GRASS GROWING ON YOUR PATH?

"Never stop praying. Be ready for anything by praying and being thankful" - Colossians 4:2 (ERV)

The early Christian converts were very diligent about praying. Each one had their own special place outside the village where they went to pray in solitude. They reached these “prayer rooms” by using their own private footpaths through the brush. When grass began to grow over any of these footpaths, it was evident that the person to whom it belonged was no longer praying. Therefore, anyone who noticed such overgrown “prayer path,” would go to the prayerless believer and lovingly warn, “Brother/Sister, there is grass on your path!”

"Jesus returned to his three disciples. Now they were sleeping. He said to Peter, ‘Simon, you are asleep! You could not stay awake for even one hour! You must keep awake and you must pray. ....."-Mark 14:37-38 (EASY)

In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus Christ discovered that Peter, James and John were no longer active in the place of prayer. Like many contemporary believers, the footpaths of these three disciples had overgrown with weeds of prayerlessness (Mark 14:37-38). They have become over confident, lazy and careless in climbing the mountain of prayer. The giant of prayerlessness had swallowed their personal devotions and love for God. Like the foolish Galatians, they wanted to use human strength to complete the task of grace that the Holy Ghost started in the place of prayer (Galatians 3:3). What an absurdity!

Beloved, please be sincere with yourself today. Are your footpaths already overgrown with grass? Has the giant of prayerlessness swallowed you up? Has the mountain of laziness and pride crippled your fellowship with God? Then, why are you no longer excited about the sweet hour of prayer as you used to do when you first got saved? Don't you think you need urgent help before it is too late?

Friends, God can help you rekindle the fire on our prayer altar today. That giant of prayerlessness engaging your destiny will be defeated by His grace today. However, please note that God cannot help backsliders and sinners until they repent. In fact, God does not listen to sinners (John 9:31). Therefore, I urge you to please repent and meditate on the lyrics of this wonderful hymn below:

I WANT THAT MOUNTAIN By Bill Harvey, 1989

I saw the Giant of Prayerlessness upon the mountain high;
He laughed so hard at my unbended knee.
No longer in the Wilderness I'll stay, and so I cry:
I want that mountain, it belongs to me!

Chorus:
          I want that mountain!  I want that mountain!
          Where the milk and honey flow, where the grapes of Eshcol grow,
          I want that mountain!  I want that mountain!
          The mountain that my Lord has given me.

There was a Giant of Laziness who said I wouldn't go
And witness for the One who set me free.
I'll come from out the Wilderness, I'll witness now I know;
I want that mountain, it belongs to me!

One faithless Giant upon the crest of Hebron's lofty height
Has vowed that he's the one to make me flee.
I'll climb from out the Wilderness! and trust Jehovah's might!
I want that mountain, it belongs to me!

Let ev'ry Giant of Distress and Unbelief and Sin
Get ready now to vacate, for you see:
I've come from out the Wilderness! I know I'm going to win!
I want that mountain, it belongs to me!

As the Lord lives, God will kindle a fresh fire of revival in His church all over the world. Every believer whose prayer-life has been plagued with spiritual diarrhoea and tuberculosis shall be healed before this day is over in Jesus name. Every giant of prayerlessness and mountain of laziness blocking your ways to fruitfulness in life shall be uprooted completely in Jesus name, Amen.

Good day and God bless you.

Maranatha!

BY GRACE, NOT BY WORKS

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast" - Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)

On the main entrance of the Nazi Concentration Camp in Auschwitz, Poland was a statement - "Arbeit Macht Frei". The statement which is being interpreted as “Work Sets You Free” assures people that if they worked hard, they would be set free. This promise of freedom was however a deception as about 1.1 million people were massacred in that camp during the second world war.

The modern day Nazi German soldiers are still preaching the sermon of "Arbeit Macht Frei" all over the world. They are still luring millions of people into eternal damnation through their deceptive ideology of "Work Sets You Free" as they did during the second world war. It is obvious there are many people in their concentration camp all over the world today. They believe that they can truly be ushered into Heaven on the basis of their good works. They seem not to understand that only faith in Jesus Christ for salvation can set them free (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 8:36). It is only Jesus Christ’s blood that liberates. He died to give us freedom from the penalty of our sins (Hebrews 9:28)

Beloved, please don't ever believe the "Work Sets You Free" sermon of those modern day Nazi German soldiers around you. Salvation can never be earned on the basis of good works. It can only be received through relationship with God's only begotten son - Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12)

"Jesus is the only one who can save people. His name is the only power in the world that has been given to save anyone. We must be saved through him!” Acts 4:12 (ERV)

One special hymn that re-echoes the message of God's grace that brings true freedom to man is titled "By Grace I'm Saved". Have you embraced the grace that bring Salvation to man (Titus 2:11)? If yes, then I say "a big congratulations" to you. But if not, I urge you to please cry unto God for mercy now. I can assure you that you will never regret you did.

BY GRACE I'M SAVED By Justin H. Knecht (1752 - 1817)

By grace I'm saved, grace free and boundless;
my soul, believe and doubt it not.
Why stagger at this word of promise?
Has Scripture ever falsehood taught?
No; then this word must true remain:
by grace you too shall heav'n obtain.

By grace! None dare lay claim to merit;
our works and conduct have no worth.
God in his love sent our Redeemer,
Christ Jesus, to this sinful earth;
his death did for our sins atone,
and we are saved by grace alone.

By grace God's Son, our only Savior,
came down to earth to bear our sin.
Was it because of your own merit
that Jesus died your soul to win?
No, it was grace, and grace alone,
that brought him from his heav'nly throne.

By grace! O mark this word of promise
when you are by your sins oppressed,
when Satan plagues your troubled conscience,
and when your heart is seeking rest.
What reason cannot comprehend
God by his grace to you will send.

By grace to timid hearts that tremble,
in tribulation's furnace tried,
by grace, in spite of fear and trouble,
the Father's heart is open wide.
Where could I help and strength secure,
if grace were not my anchor sure?

By grace! On this I'll rest when dying;
in Jesus' promise I rejoice;
for though I know my heart's condition,
I also know my Savior's voice.
My heart is glad, all grief has flown,
since I am saved by grace alone.

By grace! This ground of faith is certain;
so long as God is true, it stands.
What saints have penned by inspiration,
what in his Word our God commands,
what our whole faith must rest upon,
is grace alone, grace in his Son.

It's my prayer that everyone deceived and held captive in the concentration camp of sin and death will be set free by God before this day is over in Jesus name.

Good day and God bless you.

Maranatha!

THE POTTER'S HOUSE ENCOUNTER

"O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel". Jeremiah  18:6

There is an ancient practice in Japan of fixing or mending broken things known as Kintsugi, meaning “golden joinery". It is the custom of repairing broken things with liquid gold, silver or lacquer dusted with gold to bring together the pieces of the fractured pottery. This process not only fixes the cracks but dramatically increases the value of the piece and makes it more beautiful than the original (Culled from Fox News, Meghan Howard, March 27, 2019)

The Potter's House encounter narrated in Jeremiah 18:1-6, reinforces the ability of God to turn every messy or hopeless situation around like the Kintsugi artists. God does not throw away any broken things, rather, He usually remodel them for His glory. For example, when Joseph was stripped of his coat of many colours and sold to Egypt, the fingers of God rescued and decorated him. He eventually became a Global agent of preservation and deliverance (Genesis 45:3-8). God also picked up Mephibosheth from the trash in Lodebar (with his torn garment of royalty) and remodelled him for the Palace's lifestyle of dignity (2 Samuel 9:1-13).

Friends, are there some broken things in your life today? Has anyone thrown you away like a piece of garbage because of those broken things? Then, may I inform you that, your crack is not too big for God to mend. In fact, God specializes in mending broken or cracked things (business, health, academics, marriage) that is placed in His hands (Jeremiah 18:6). Then, why not place your life in His hand by obeying the call of repentance now (Luke 5:32). Only then, can the Great Potter start His remodeling works of grace and glory in your life. And by the time God finishes, you would become a masterpiece of wonders in your generation.

"I came not to call righteous, but sinners to repentance" - Luke 5:32

"Jesus heard about it and spoke up 'who needs a doctor:the healthy or the sick? I'm  here inviting outsiders,  not insiders - an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out" Luke 5:31-32 (MSG )

Are you ready for the Potter's House Encounter of uncommon remodeling and beautification? Please join me to meditate on the lyrics of this wonderful hymn (below) titled: "God The Sculptor of The Mountains".

"GOD THE SCULPTOR OF THE MOUNTAINS" by John Thornburg, 1993

  God the sculptor of the mountains,

God the miller of the sand,

God the jeweler of the heavens,

God the potter of the land:

you are womb of all creation,

we are formless; shape us now.

God the nuisance to the Pharaoh,

God the cleaver of the sea,

God the pillar of the darkness,

God the beacon of the free:

you are gate of all deliv’rance,

we are sightless; lead us now.

God the unexpected infant,

God the calm, determined youth,

God the table turning prophet,

God the resurrected Truth:

you are present every moment,

we are searching; meet us now.

God the dresser of the vineyard,

God the planter of the wheat,

God the reaper of the harvest,

God the source of all we eat:

you are host at every table,

we are hungry; feed us now.

I pray that the Great Sculptor will take you into His remodeling room for some breathtaking and amazing world-class beautification projects (spiritually, materially, maritally, financially, academically) before this month is over in Jesus name.

On behalf of my esteemed father in the Lord, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, I want to invite you to our 69th Annual Convention with the theme "A NEW WAVE OF GLORY". Date: Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th August, 2021. Ministering: Our beloved Daddy G.O - Pastor E.A Adeboye and other anointed Ministers of God.

Good day and God bless you.

DON'T DIP YOUR HAND INTO THE CANDY JAR

"You give to them, they gather it up; You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good"- Psalm 104:28

A young boy went to the local store with his mother. The shop owner, a kind man, passed him a large jar of candy and invited him to help himself to a handful. Strangely, the boy held back. So the shop owner pulled out a handful for him. As soon as they left the store, the boy’s mother asked why he had suddenly been so shy and wouldn’t take a handful of candy when offered. The boy replied, “Because his hand is much bigger than mine!”

The world is a mega store with many candy jars of freebies that the shop owner (God) wants to give to everyone who patronises him (Matthew 6:33). Many people have being dipping their hands into the candy jar to picked a handful of everything they desire in life. For example, some picked for themselves a handful of degree, career, friend, life partner, etc. While picking from the candy jar, they used their feeble hands, limited strength and human wisdom. Consequently, most of the things they picked for themselves are not the best that the shop owner had planned to give them.

"...So Lot chose for himself all the Jordan valley and Lot journeyed east;....Genesis 13:10-13

Friends, it is time you stop dipping those feeble hands of yours into the candy jar of God. Let the mighty and everlasting hand of God pick the very best that heaven can afford for you. Have you forgotten how Mr. Lot dipped his hand into the candy jar and ended up in Sodom? (Genesis 13:10-13). The hand of God is much bigger and better than yours. Only God's hand can pick a good wife for you among all the fake wife materials in the candy jar. Only His hand can choose the best husband for you among several fake husband materials in the candy jar. Only God can pick the best job for you among those tempting offers in the candy jar. Only His hand can pick the golden fish from the river for you. If you dare to let God -the greatest shop owner choose for you, then, you will get the best of everything that Heaven have kept in store for you financially, maritally, materially, etc (Proverbs 3:5-6). However, it is important to note that you cannot collect from God if you are not connected to Him. The only way to connect to God is to accept His only begotten Son - Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour (Acts 4:12). This is so simple but very true!

"Jesus is the only one who can save people. His name is the only power in the world that has been given to save anyone. We must be saved through him!” -Acts 4:12 (ERV)

One short but very power song that reiterates the kind heart of our God and His readiness to supply all our deepest needs much more than the raven is titled "The Raven He Feedeth". As you meditate on the lyrics of this hymn, recieve grace to trust God's hands to provide all your needs till you finish your race on earth.

THE RAVEN HE FEEDETH by Lewis E. Jones, 1898

In tender compassion and wonderful love,

The Father looks down from on high;

He knoweth the raven hath need of its food,

And heareth in mercy its cry.

Refrain:

        The raven He feedeth, then why should I fear?

        To the heart of the Father His children are dear;

        So, if the way darkens or storms gather o’er,

        I’ll simply look upward and trust Him the more.

        His arm is abundantly able to save,

        His eye is a guide to my feet;

        Since love sought and found me,

        I constantly dwell

        With Him in companionship sweet.

No need have I ever to trouble my breast,

Or fear what the morrow may bring;

The heart of the Father is planning my way,

And I am the child of a king.

It is my prayer that we shall never bite the mighty hand that is feeding and sustaining us till we see Him in glory. And may God have mercy upon everyone frustrating His plan by dipping their hands into His candy jars.

Good day and God bless you, Amen.

THE EXPANSION PROJECT IN HELL

"Help those who have doubts. Rescue those who are living in danger of hell’s fire." - Jude 1:22‭ (ERV)

On 25th February 1879, when Charles Peace, a notorious criminal in England, was about to be executed, a minister said to him: “Those who die without Christ experience hell, which is the pain of forever dying without the release which death itself can bring.” Charles stopped the minister and said, “Sir, if I believed what you and the church of God say that you believe, even if England were covered with broken glass from coast to coast, I would walk over it, if need be, on hands and knees and think it worthwhile living, just to save one soul from an eternal hell like that!” (Culled from Why Revival Tarries, Leonard Ravenhill)

Many people all over the world are currently on the danger list of hell. It is worthy of note that Hell has enlarged itself to accommodate more unbelievers from every generation (Isaiah 5:14). However, many careless Christians are silently supporting the expansion project in hell. They indirectly offer their support to hell by refusing to witness to unbelievers around them. They seat on the fence or give flimsy excuses when it is time for evangelism and follow up. They bluntly ignore God's directives to passionately go after unbelievers and rescue them from their voyage to hell (Jude 1:22). Some believers are too preoccupied with their business or career than the great commission (Matthew 28:19). The terrible plight of sinners no longer move them to pray and trust God for the salvation of lost souls (2 Corinthians 5:11). What a misnormal!

"Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it" - Isaiah  5:14 (KJV)

Friends, are you part of those careless Christians that are supporting the expansion project in hell? Why are you not concerned about the  terrible plight of sinners around you? Why are you so docile or inactive when it is time to go for evangelism and follow up? Are you sure you have not backslided? Do you really love those sinners the way Christ loved them? (Romans 5:8)

"But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" - Romans 5:8 (Amplified)

One special hymn that provide reasons why many christians are not witnessing to unbelievers is titled "All Because We Do Not Love Them! " Please prayerfully meditate on the lyrics of this wonderful hymn below and trust God to rekindle fresh passion in our heart to witness to lost souls in Jesus name.

ALL BECAUSE WE DO NOT LOVE THEM by Daniel O. Teasley, 1910

Many souls today are dying,

Sin and sorrow is their lot;

Darkness shrouds them with its mantle,

All because we love them not.

Refrain:

          All because we do not love them,

          Millions fill the heathen grave;

          Brother, can you see them perish,

          When a little love would save?

Brother, can we guiltless linger,

When to us the truth is giv’n?

Tearless, see the heathen dying,

Without God or hope of heav’n?

Love brought Jesus down from glory,

On the cruel cross to die;

Can we say we love the heathen,

If we turn away their cry?

Love undying, love eternal—

Love will send us o’er the wave,

Will impel us to our duty,

Helpless heathen souls to save.

Jesus said, “Go, teach all nations”;

They are lost if we delay;

Can we face Him at the judgment,

If His word we disobey?

My prayer is that God will help all believers to be more passionate, purposeful and fervent in reaching unbelievers with the gospel. As we throw our net out passionately, every soul on that terrible danger list of hell shall be rescued and released never to return to their vomit again.

Good day and God bless you, Amen.

Maranatha!

A RANSOM FOR MANY

"Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many [paying the price to set them free from the penalty of sin].”Matthew 20:28 (AMP)

One day, a man saw a very large cage by the road side. He noticed the cage was full of people of every kind, young, old, from every race and nation. Then, he asked the owner of the cage “How did you get these people?”. The cage owner replied “I lure them with porno, alcohol, drugs, lust, lies, anger, hatred, fornication, adultery, unforgiveness, pride and all manner of sins. I pretend that I’m their friend and promise them a good time, then when I have hooked them, I throw them into the cage and they become my slave forever”. Then, the man asked “Can I buy these people from you?”. The cage owner smiled and said, “yes, because the cage is pretty expensive, and I spent a lot of time collecting these people, hence it will cost you your life.” The man handed over his life, the door was opened and the people escaped.

"So that one sin of Adam brought the punishment of death to all people. But in the same way, Christ did something so good that it makes all people right with God. And that brings them true life".Romans 5:18 (ERV)

In the beginning, when man was lured into sin, his soul was kidnapped and packed inside the cage of eternal damnation (Romans 5:12 - 18). In order to secure man's release from the hands of his wicked adoptor, a huge ransom of death was placed upon him. The pitiable plight of man attracted the attention of God and He sent this only begotten Son as ransom for man's release (John 3:16). Jesus Christ came to pay the ultimate ransom to rescue humanity from the captivity of the devil (Matthew 20:28b). The Saviour laid down his life, and by the shedding of his blood, the ultimate ransom for man's redemption was paid in full (Ephesians 1:7, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Revelation 5:9).

"For by the blood of Christ we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven......" -Ephesians 1:7 (GNT)

Friends, please note that the wicked one who lured Adam and Eve into his terrible cage is still very active in this generation. He is still dangling his carrot of sin before man to lure him away from God and cage him in hell. However, the good news is that - the ultimate ransom paid by Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago is still valid and has opened the door of that terrible cage for every trapped souls to escape. Everyone lured or deceived and thrown into the cage of sin can be set free indeed (John 8:36). However, anyone who chooses to remain inside that wicked cage after the saviour has paid the ransom for many will definitely have himself/herself to blame eternally. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid for your release, your freedom from Satan’s trap, with His own life, on the cross at Calvary. Then, why are you still a slave of sin?

"God paid a high price for you, so don’t be slaves to anyone else"-1 Corinthians 7:23 (ERV)

One special hymn that reaffirms the huge ransom paid for our liberty is titled "My Saviour Paid My Ransom". Please let's celebrate God for the great work of redemption as we meditate on the lyrics of this wonderful hymn below:

MY SAVIOUR PAID MY RANSOM By Fred P. Morris

My Saviour paid my ransom

That He might set me free,

He climbed up to Golgotha

Laid down His life for me.

Refrain:

        He died for me, He died for me,

        How deep and strong His love must be,

        To pay the price of Calvary,

        For me, for me, for me, for me.

My Saviour paid my ransom

He found me steeped in sin,

He knew the heart so stubborn,

His love alone could win.

My Saviour paid my ransom

My life is not my own,

He bought my full redemption,

I’m His and His alone.

My Saviour paid my ransom

My all I gladly bring,

To bow in full surrender,

Before my Lord and King.

My prayer is that everyone lured into the terrible cage of the devil shall surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ so that the ransom of Calvary over their souls will not be in vain.

Good day. Happy new month and God bless you, Amen.

Maranatha!

THE GREATEST STAR OF ALL TIME

 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony to share with the churches. I am both the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” Revelation 22:16‭ (FBV)

During World War II, families with a son in the war would place a star in the window. One day, an old man was walking along with his 5 years grandson when the boy asked “Grandpa, why do all these homes have stars in the windows?” The grandfather explained to the boy what the star symbolized. They walked along and every time they passed a home with a star in the window the boy would smile and clap his hands together. Then, the boy looked up to the sky, pointed to a star and said. “Grandpa, look, God must have given his son too!” (Culled from Our Daily Bread, April 12, 2012)

The pages of history is filled with many great people who have achieved unprecedented feats in their generation. These people are unique individuals who by their superior intellect, heroic courage, extraordinary leadership abilities, divine wisdom and inspiration have greatly impacted their world positively. They are stars shining in the windows all over the world today. We smile and clap our hands whenever their names are mentioned. We set up foundation to immortalised them even when they have gone. As a mark of honour and respect for these stars, we name our children, sporting arena, academic institutions etc after them.

Friends, it is good to clap for the stars in the windows around us. It is equally nice to give standing ovations to great men and women who have contributed immensely to their world. However, it is much more important to look up like that young boy and his grandpa so that we can acknowledge and celebrate the greatest star of all time - Jesus Christ. The one who knew no sin yet was offered as sin offering to rescue humanity from eternal damnation (2 Corinthians 5:21).

"God made this sinless man to be sin offering on our behalf, so that in union with him we might fully share in God's righteousness" - 2 Corinthians 5:21 (CJB)

Yes, many Christians need to stop worshipping their Pastors, Bishops, Reverend and General Overseers and start celebrating the saviour of their souls. Unbelievers and backsliders must stop ignoring Christ who is the star of salvation (Hebrews 2:3). Some people need to stop chasing shadows of riches, power and position so that they can focus on the star of eternal life ( 1 John 4:9, Colossians 3:1).

"God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life" - 1 John 4:9 (NLT)

One special hymn that describes the great exploit of the Bright Morning star - Jesus Christ, is titled "O Morning Star, How Fair And Bright!". Please meditate on the lyrics of this wonderful hymn below and trust God to help you keep your gaze steadfastly on Him till He returns for the rapture of the Church.

O MORNING STAR, HOW FAIR AND BRIGHT! By Philipp Nicolai (1599)

O Morning Star, how fair and bright!

You shine with God’s own truth and light,

Aglow with grace and mercy!

Of Jacob’s race, King David’s son,

Our Lord and master, You have won

Our hearts to serve You only!

Lowly, holy!

Great and glorious,

All victorious,

Rich in blessing!

Rule and might o’er all possessing!

Come, heavenly Bridegroom, Light divine,

and deep within our hearts now shine;

There light a flame undying!

In Your one body let us be

As living branches of a tree,

Your life our lives supplying.

Now, though daily

Earth’s deep sadness

May perplex us

And distress us,

Yet with heavenly joy You bless us.

Lord, when You look on us in love,

At once there falls from God above

A ray of purest pleasure.

Your Word and Spirit, flesh and blood

Refresh our souls with heavenly food.

You are our dearest treasure!

Let Your mercy

Warm and cheer us!

O draw near us!

For You teach us

God’s own love through You has reached us.

Almighty Father, in Your Son

You loved us when not yet begun

Was this old earth’s foundation!

Your Son has ransomed us in love

To live in Him here and above;

This is Your great salvation.

Alleluia!

Christ the living,

To us giving

Life forever,

Keeps us Yours and fails us never!

O let the harps break forth in sound!

Our joy be all with music crowned,

Our voices gladly blending!

For Christ goes with us all the way—

Today, tomorrow, every day!

His love is never ending!

Sing out!  Ring out!

Jubilation!

Exultation!

Tell the story!

Great is He, the King of Glory!

What joy to know, when life is past,

The Lord we love is first and last,

The end and the beginning!

He will one day, oh, glorious grace,

Transport us to that happy place

Beyond all tears and sinning!

Amen!  Amen!

Come, Lord Jesus!

Crown of gladness!

We are yearning

For the day of Your returning!

It's my prayer that God will keep you and I standing till Jesus Christ returns for the rapture of His Church. May the undying flame of his glory never fade out in our heart till the bright morning star appear again. While awaiting for Him, may we receive grace and boldness to keep telling the story of His love to everyone around us.

Good day and God bless you.

Maranatha!

EMPTY YOUR WORRY WAGON

 "Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life"- Philippians 4:6‭-‬7 (MSG)

A certain old man heard some people complaining about the same problems every time. Then, one day he told them a joke and everyone roared in laughter. After a couple of minutes, he told them the same joke and only a few of them smiled. When he told the same joke for the third time no one laughed anymore. The old man smiled and said: “You can’t laugh at the same joke over and over. So why are you always grumbling and complaining about the same problem?”

The current state of the nation can be a major cause for concern to many people. The nation seems to be stranded in the jungle and many people are feeling the heat badly. The prices of almost everything in the market (especially staple food items) has skyrocketed and many families are struggling to survive. There is no where in the country that is safe and our leaders appears to be helpless and clueless. Many people are worried, confused and afraid. However, worry or anxiety can never solve our problems but only prayer can (Philippians 4:6). So, instead of complaining or protesting, God expects us to seek for help from Him alone in the place of prayer (2 Chronicles 7:14) .

"Then my people who are called by my name should be sorry. They should be humble and they should pray. They should try to find me. And they should stop doing the wrong things that they have done. Then I will hear them from heaven and I will forgive their sin . And I will make their country better" -2 Chronicles 7:14 (EASY)

Beloved, are you still worried about those same old problems or challenges today? Don't you know that worry won’t solve your problems, rather, it will compound it, waste your time and energy. Don't you understand that every anxiety-inducing circumstances is an opportunity for God to be glorified. God detests worrying, complaining, grumbling or murmuring and warned us to avoid it like a deadly plague (1 Corinthians 10:10-11). No wonder all the Israelites who complained or murmured in the wilderness never entered the promised land (Numbers 14:1-3, 27-29). What a judgement!

"And let’s not grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the destroying angel. Now these things happened to them as an example, and it was written down as a warning to us on whom the ends of the ages have come" - 1 Corinthians 10:10‭-‬11 (TLV)

Friends, have you been disappointed? Are you worried, angry and afraid about your life and the state of your nation? May I challenge you to cast your burdens on the everlasting shoulder of the Almighty God today. Please resign your appointment as the Chief Complainer General of the Federation or Family (CGF) today and trust the Almighty God to intervene on your behalf.

One powerful hymn that re-echoes the counsel of God in Philippians 4:6 and 2 Chronicles 7:14 is titled " I Must Tell Jesus". As you meditate on the lyrics of this hymn, please trust God for grace to truly empty your worry wagon on His Everlasting shoulders at all times. It is not wise to continue carrying all those old burdens when Jesus Christ has offered to help you (1 Peter 5:7, Psalms 55:22).

I MUST TELL JESUS  by Elisha Hoffman, 1894.

I must tell Jesus all of my trials;

I cannot bear these burdens alone;

In my distress He kindly will help me;

He ever loves and cares for His own.

Chorus:

           I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!,

           I cannot bear my burdens alone;

           I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!

           Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.

I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;

He is a kind, compassionate Friend;

If I but ask Him, He will deliver,

Make of my troubles quickly an end.

Tempted and tried I need a great Saviour,

One who can help my burdens to bear;

I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus;

He all my cares and sorrows will share.

O how the world to evil allures me!

O how my heart is tempted to sin!

I must tell Jesus, and He will help me

Over the world the vict’ry to win.

As we passionately begin to seek God's face for divine intervention, the wind of true change shall begin to blow across our nations, homes, businesses and families in Jesus name. The Great Burden Bearer will step into the affairs of our family and nation with timely help from above in Jesus name. The Almighty God will turnaround the destiny of our nation and restore her lost glory in Jesus name, Amen.

Good day and God bless you.

Maranatha!

BEWARE OF MEPHIBOSHETH'S NURSE

"Saul’s son Jonathan had a son named Mephibosheth. He was five years old when the news came from Jezreel that Saul and Jonathan had been killed. The woman who cared for Mephibosheth picked him up and ran away. But while running away, she dropped the boy, and he became crippled in both feet".2 Samuel 4:4 (ERV)

One of the most pathetic stories in the Bible is that of Mephibosheth- a young man born to reign as Prince in Jerusalem but became an asylum seeker in Lodebar. His destiny took a downward turn the day his nurse decided to run while carrying him. On that fateful day, Mephibosheth fell and lost his two legs in the process at a very tender age. He became a victim of another person's action and was ostracised to the land of nothing (Lo Debar). This is so pathetic!

There are many people like that Mephibosheth's nurse all around us today. I hope you are not one of them. Through their actions, many precious souls have been destroyed or paralysed spiritually, maritally, financially and emotionally in the race of destiny. They walk about with deadly ammunitions of indecent dressing and shameless lifestyles. They fire arrows of lust and ungodliness into the atmosphere and heart of careless souls. They practically dress to kill their victims. They have become a terrible stumbling block turning people over to the path of damnation and hell.

Are you like Mephibosheth's nurse? Have you ever considered the terrible implications of making someone fall or turn away from God (Matthew 18:6‭-7)?. Please cry to God for mercy today and make your ways right with Him before it will be too late.

“If anyone should cause one of these little ones to lose his faith in me, it would be better for that person to have a large millstone tied round his neck and be drowned in the deep sea. How terrible for the world that there are things that make people lose their faith! Such things will always happen — but how terrible for the one who causes them!" -Matthew 18:6‭-‬7 (GNB)

Friends, is your story similar to that of Mephibosheth? Have you lost your place in the race of life because of someone's error or action? Don't give up on your dream and God's plans for your life. Please keep trusting God for the restoration of everything you have lost. I perceived your season of favour and complete restoration has finally come.  Like Mephibosheth, God will restore not only what you have lost but what your parents had lost in the time past. I see the strong and mighty arm of the Lord orchestrating great things in your home this month. I see the King of kings sending emissaries to fetch you out of your Lodebar before this month is over. Your invitation to sit at the king's table is on the way.

This powerful song titled "Mephibosheth, Put Your Fears To Rest" summarises how the Almighty God restored Mephibosheth back to his place in destiny. Could you please prayerfully sing this song with me and trust God to stir up the heart of kings to urgently send emissaries to fetch you out of your Lodebar before this month is over.

MEPHIBOSHETH, PUT YOUR FEARS TO REST

In a place called Lodebar lived a young man who was crippled from a fall

His name was Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul

He was trying to survive since Jonathan and Saul were slain

It seemed all hope was in vain

And each lonely night was spent in fear of what another day would bring

Chorus:

        Mephibosheth, forever put your fears to rest

        Come and be my table guest

        To you I'll be a father and my son you'll always be

        Mephibosheth, please accept the invitation

        I've made all the preparation

        Mephibosheth cried, Oh how can this be?

        That a king could ever love someone like me

But one day King David said, There is one thing I'd like to do

Is there one of the house of Saul? Someone I can show my kindness to?

Someone said, Down in Lodebar there lives the son of Jonathan

Mephibosheth, the crippled one

David said, Go and find him and bring him this message from the king

Living in Lodebar where there's not comfort for a troubled soul

Just a place full of broken hearts, never knowing what the future holds

But now that I've met the King there's nothing like His love for me

Now I'm part of the Family

Since someone came and knocked upon my door

With this Message from the King

I rejoice when I recall the day I watched those bridges burn

When I said goodbye to Lodebar never to return

It is my prayer that every soul locked up in Lodebar of sin and judgement shall be relocated to their palace and stand before the king soon in Jesus name. Many Mephibosheth and their nurses will say goodbye to Lodebar, burn the bridge behind them, never to return to their vomit again in Jesus name. As the Lord lives, your invitation to sit at the

King's table shall be dispatched and delivered speedily in Jesus name, Amen.

Good day and God bless you.

Maranatha!
