"The Lord will protect you from all danger; he will keep you safe. He will protect you as you come and go now and forever".Psalm 121:7-8 (GNT)
The phrase "going outside the wire" is a military phrase which refers to a situation where one steps out of the confines of a secured military installation. It means to leave the safety and protection of the camp and travel on the roads where there are Improvised Explosive Devices (I.E.Ds), terrorists, and other things that can hurt, maim or kill.
Security or safety is a crucial need of man but many people have stepped outside the wire in search of it. The quest for safety (physical, emotional and financial) have made many people to walk away from the camp of the Almighty God. Many have sheepishly stepped outside the wire of heaven while searching for protection in this world. They don't seem to understand that any other place outside the place of covenant relationship with God is an I.E.Ds zone. It is a very dangerous and terrible place to be!
Salvation gives man the opportunity to have a covenant relationship with God. One of the privileges of salvation is that it creates an unseen barbed wire of highly secured defensive perimeter around the trenches of a believer's life. A true believer will enjoy maximum security wherever he/she resides on earth.
"My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them real and eternal life. They are protected from the Destroyer for good. No one can steal them from out of my hand......”John 10:27-30 (MSG)
In the world of today, where no place on earth is really safe, no one can afford to go outside the wire of God's hedge for a second. That is why I urge you to please surrender your life Jesus Christ today and start a covenant relationship with God. If you do, God will build His hedge of fire around you as he did to Job and his family. The Bible says devil could not lift a finger to hurt Job because of the wire of protection around him. Also, Job's entire household and properties were jealousy safeguarded from the harassment of the destroyer. (Job 1:1-10). What a testimony!
"Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land"- Job 1:9-10 (NIV)
Beloved, are you outside the wire of God's protective hedge? Are you living outside the camp of the Almighty God? If your answer is "Yes", then, I perceive God is beckoning to you now. Please come back to the camp of God for genuine protection today. It is too risky and dangerous to be outside the wire as every other ground is sinking sand. This is your day of salvation. Please don't procrastinate.
MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS by Edward Mote (1834)
My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus' name.
Refrain:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand:
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness veils his lovely face,
I rest on his unchanging grace;
in every high and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the veil.
His oath, his covenant, his blood,
support me in the whelming flood;
when all around my soul gives way,
he then is all my hope and stay.
When he shall come with trumpet sound,
O may I then in him be found:
dressed in his righteousness alone,
faultless to stand before the throne
I pray that when Christ shall return, you and I will not miss our flights to the city of gold in Jesus name, Amen
Good day and God bless you.
Maranatha!
