In Genesis 8:6-12, God closed an old chapter on earth and gave man a new beginning. While studying the account of this new beginning few days ago, the Holy Spirit confronted me with this question "In 2026, Are You Going To Be A Raven or A Dove?"
In that new beginning, Noah sent a raven out of the ark to inspect the earth. That was a special privilege to serve God in the new dispensation on earth. However, the raven abandoned the assignment as soon as she left the ark. After waiting for the Raven awhile, Noah was forced to send another bird - a dove.
There are several deep lessons we can learn from the dispositions and attitude of these two birds in the scriptures above. These lessons are important as we enter our year of new beginning on earth.
The raven was the first creature to see what the new beginning looked like. That was a special honour and privilege that anyone should have cherished deeply and forever be grateful to God for. Unfortunately, this bird was an ingrate. She never returned to say "thank you" to the hands that opened the window of the ark for her. Meaning that the raven graduated from Noah's Ark University with a distinction in Ingratitude. This is very pathetic.
The raven was also selfish because as soon as she left the ark, she did not bother about everyone else that she left behind. Rather, she was cruising to and fro the earth alone. The raven must have been a very bad spouse because the welfare of her mate that she left behind in the ark did not seem to concern her. The bird was just enjoying the fresh air outside the ark alone. Marriage was not her priority list and she must have failed awfully in that area.
Beloved, it would be good if you can answer this same question today. How will you finish the journey of 2026?. Are you going to end the journey of 2026 like a Raven or a Dove.
By the grace of God, you are now flying in the sky of 2026 for God. Yes, the Almighty has opened the window and door of 2026 unto you. But have you truly returned to say a big "thank you" to Him? If you have not, then you are a raven. I hereby plead with you to please appreciate God sincerely for keeping you alive till now. Never to take God for granted this year. Be a dove who will always appreciate the Almighty God for your divine selection from the multitude who never crossed over into the new beginning of 2026.
This new year, you need a Noah that will open the window to your new beginning for you. Someone that will grant you access to the place God wants you to be this year. My prayer is that your Noah will soon show up to open great doors and windows unto you in Jesus name.
However, when God opens these mighty windows and doors unto you this year, please never abandon your Noah in the ark. Please don't be an ingrate in 2026. Be ready to appreciate and celebrate every Noah that God will use to open the windows or doors for you.
Finally, please be passionate about the welfare of everyone else that you left behind in the ark. Prayerfully witness to all your unbelieving family members, friends, superiors, and colleagues this year. Remember the less privileged one around you from time to time.
Good day and God bless you.
Maranatha!
