A RAVEN OR A DOVE - 3

When the news broke out that God had decided to choose a Raven to go out of the ark first, the Raven's family house became a must visit destination. Everyone in the ark started visiting the Ravens to pay homage and congratulate them for the appointment. The crowd was so much and it looked like a Raven had been sworn in as the president of the Association of Birds on Earth. The remaining species of birds in the ark wished they had been born into the lineage of the Raven. The birds concluded that the Ravens were the most favoured bird in the ark. The Ravens were so excited and very proud to be in the spotlight. In fact, the Ravens inscribed "Emilokan" (It's My Turn) on the doorpost of their room in the ark.

Unfortunately, the Ravens' celebration did not last too long because their representative refused to take her chance. This bird decided to misbehave like Prophet Eli and King Saul. The Raven believed that she could misbehave and nothing would happen. She did not understand that her action and inaction could ruin her chances as well as everyone in her lineage.

After waiting for the Raven for some time, God eventually decided to replace her. Everyone believed the Raven's lineage being the most favoured bird in the ark would automatically produce the next person for the job. Unfortunately, that was not the case as God announced that He had rejected and blacklisted the Raven's lineage. In fact, God must have regretted ever choosing the Raven in the first place.

Beloved, it is too risky to live like a Raven. A Raven will not only be replaced but will throw away precious generational opportunities or blessings meant for their lineage. Prophet Eli and King Saul were two Ravens who carelessly threw away their own generational allocations (1 Samuel 2:27-36, 1 Samuel 15:10-23). They closed the window of generational relevance against their lineage. And God blacklisted their families from the throne without giving them a second chance.

“So the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I promised that your family and your ancestor’s family would serve me always.’ But now the Lord says: ‘This must stop! I will honor those who honor me, but I will dishonor those who ignore me"- 1 Samuel 2:30 (NCV)

Friends, you cannot afford to close the windows that God will open for you and your lineage this year. You cannot afford to throw away generational opportunities and blessings. You cannot afford to end your journey on earth like Prophet Eli and King Saul. But if you do, I can assure you that God will have no option than to blacklist and banish you and your entire family from the seat of honour forever.

As the Lord lives, this year, the Almighty God will open unto us great doors and windows of uncommon generational blessings and relevance. The spirit of Raven that waste opportunity shall not journey with us this year. And nothing will make us  close those special windows and doors that God will open for our lineage this year in Jesus name. Amen
